Northampton Comic Con returns 16 September 2017 for its third annual weekend event

Dress up as your favourite characters, meet fellow fangirls and fanboys alike, and bring your families to what could be the event of the year in Northampton.

The first thing you notice when you walk into Northampton Comic Con are the cosplayers, the crowds of people enjoying the art and bonding over costumes. From female-Loki to Scott Pilgrim, from Freddy Kruger to Obi Wan Kenobi, you can be anyone you want to be at this Northampton event.

There will also be stalls to buy art and merchandise, food, a party bus complete with games consoles, and a cosplay competition.

Another main feature is the guest appearances – it’s been announced that Actor Michael Winslow, from 80s hits like Police Academy, Spaceballs, and Gremlins, will be doing a voiceover of the event.

Red Dwarf fans can look forward to meeting not one but three actors from the classic sci-fi show.

Hattie Hayridge (Holly) and Mark Dexter (Howard) will be making their first appearances at this event, while Chris Barrie (Rimmer) is a welcome return.

Get the chance to meet Mini Matt Smith, a 13 year old YouTube star who dresses as the 11th Doctor – Northampton’s own Matt Smith. He’s interviewed Smith and other Doctors from the long-running series.

American wrestler Honky Tonk Man, who started his long career in 1977, will also be in attendance.

Take advantage of the opportunity to have a photoshoot with the iconic doors from The Walking Dead, complete with a zombie hoard. You know the ones: “Don’t dead open inside.”

One of the stalls is selling cosplay weaponry so you can buy your own sword for the photo-op and future conventions.

Every year so far has been a success, and Northampton Comic Con is back from 10am at the usual venue, the Northamptonshire County Cricket ground. Book your tickets online here.
