On Friday 8th of December 2017, Northampton band, Parliaments, will release their new single “Red Sun, Dead Moon” and an accompanying music video. Parliaments have been creating music together for 4 years now, and consists of lead guitarist and singer Jordan Noon, drummer/percussionist Ally Wilkinson and bassist/keys player, Callum Ahern.
This three piece alternative rock / grunge band will be releasing their new single, as well as a locally shot and produced music video via their Youtube channel. This is the band’s debut music video and allows fans to experience a new creative dimension to their music.
The band explain “What you hear and see will display what we are capable of, granting you a taste of what the band has in store. Our music allows our audience to search for their own answers to their own questions, by paying very close attention to the stories & lyrics we choose.”
The video is the story of death being awakened from his slumber by the sounds of Parliaments. Upon leaving his tomb, the “supernatural magnetism” lures him towards them, and the video follows his journey. Recorded at Parlour Studios in Kettering and produced by Jay Russell, son of legendary producer, Russ Russell, the video was shot on location in Northamptonshire by local production company, their friends at Bolthouse.
Ally, Jordan, and Callum spoke to NLive’s Chris Harris on the breakfast show about their single, and upcoming events.
The single and video release come a week before the band’s 15th December Roadmender gig in which they are playing alongside Fox Chapel and Phantom Isle.
However, you can hear their new song Red Sun, Dead Moon all this week before general release, exclusively on NLive! Be sure to listen out for it over the next week.
