As we move slowly out of September, panto season grows ever closer and this year, the Royal and Derngate Theatre is hosting a production of the classic fairy tale Cinderella throughout the festive season.
Running from Friday 6th to Sunday 29th December, this year’s performance of Cinderella is Northampton’s largest festive production, with laugh-out-loud comedy, jaw dropping special effects, stunning song and dance routines, and plenty of boos and hisses, making it perfect family entertainment.
Cinderella also features an all-star cast, including legendary comedian Bernie Clifton as Baron Hardup, former Eastenders’ star Anita Dobson as the Wicked Step-Mother, Cbeebies presenter Sid Sloane as Prince Charming, and magician Martyn James as Buttons.
Cinderella herself is played by young and upcoming theatre actress, Charlotte Haines. “I feel flattered to be trusted to play such a huge role that many people know the story of,” Charlotte said to NLive’s Chris Harris, “if anything, I can put my own spin on it and see what I can add to the character”.
Tickets prices start from £11 for concessions and more than 10,000 tickets are available at less than £20.
