Abington Park Museum donates Easter eggs to Foodbank

Written by on April 13, 2020

Over 1000 Easter Eggs have been donated to the Weston Favell Centre Foodbank.

The Eggs were originally intended for an Easter Eggs hunt in the museum, however the event was cancelled due to the continued outbreak of the coronavirus.

Weston Favell Centre Foodbank was contacted by the administrator for Northampton Museums. A spokesperson said “We had bought the Easter eggs some time ago in preparation for our popular Easter egg hunts at Abington Park Museum. Around a thousand children visit the event and when we realised we wouldn’t be able to use the eggs anymore we didn’t want them to go to waste.”.
