Be a Big Deal in Your Living Room with Screen Northants

Due to the COVID-19 situation, the 2020 Northampton Film Festival 2020 has had to be postponed. However, the Grosvenor Centre and Screen Northants have joined forces to bring you a short film competition especially for lockdown with a chance to win £300.
Anyone with some form of computer or camera and the internet can enter the competition at home while in isolation. The competition is open for anyone, as long as you have a connection to Northamptonshire.
Make a film – any genre, any format as long as it can be uploaded to the internet without breaking any lockdown rules. Could be an animation, a documentary, a drama, crime thriller, comedy sketch, an art/experimental film, anything.
It should be shot just in your house/property/garden, just with the people and stuff already in your household. However, you don’t have to involve people as actors, you could use puppets, you might use a voice over, it might be a silent film only involving inanimate object, it’s all about creativity!
And technology shouldn’t hold you back either. You could shoot it on a camera, a smartphone or even a desktop webcam and be really inventive. If you don’t have a camera, why not make an animation or use photos you already have or free stock footage? There are some very simple free ways to edit your film – and if you can’t edit, why not shoot your film all in one shot, which always looks great!
Deadline for the film is 5pm on Friday 1st May.
To enter all films should be uploaded to the internet where they can be publicly viewed and judged, and then send the link to our email at firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, click here.
