Capture your community with the Northamptonshire Community Foundation

Written by on April 26, 2018

What does community life in Northamptonshire mean to you?

The Capture Your Community competition, which is run annually by Northamptonshire Community Foundation, is giving people the chance to showcase their photograph at the Foundation’s prestigious Annual Awards event. The winner will also receive a £50 Amazon voucher and two Errol Flynn Filmhouse tickets.
There are two winning categories, ‘the Judges’ Choice Award’ and the ‘People’s Choice Award’. 12 lucky entries will be shortlisted for the Judges’ Choice Award and the winner will be chosen by an independent judging panel. One photograph will be voted for by the public on Facebook, to become the ‘People’s Choice Winner 2018’.
Last year the competition received over 100 entries and the winner of the Judges’ Choice Award was Matthew Toresen with his photo of the Northampton Woolly Crew in Abington Park. Emma Brennan’s photograph of her son Max’s community BBQ fundraiser was crowned the People’s Choice Winner with her photo receiving a total of 185 likes.
Send in your photos showcasing the amazing people and activities that are at the heart of your community. You can enter on the Foundation’s Facebook page or by emailing your photo to [email protected]

Breakfasts’s Chris Harris spoke to Rachel MacGrath from the NCF about the project:

Get snapping and show us what Northamptonshire means to you!

Entries to this year’s Capture your Community competition will officially open on the 1 May 2018, and close on the 14 June 2018.
