NLive Radio is offering a limited number of FREE radios to individuals across Northampton who are isolated and alone, and in need of the companionship that radio can help give.
Being your local radio for Northampton the station is proud to run projects such as our free radio’s.
We are excited to announce that we’ve manage to get an extra 100 radios due to funding from the Postcode Community Trust
These radios are intended to go to individuals and families across the town who do not have a radio, and would benefit from the ability to listen to NLive to find out local news and information, as well as the friendly voices of our volunteer presenters.
Station Manager Martin Steers said, “We’re passionate about the town and being your local radio station, we want to support our community, especially those who are lonely and isolated during these challenging times.”
To apply for yourself or nominate someone for one of these radios, please fill in the form. By completing the form you confirm that the individual does not have a radio and is isolated and in need, and lives in Northampton / NLive coverage area.
We wish to thank our other funders and supporters for this project in 2020.
Northamptonshire Community Foundation provided us funding to enable us to purchase 200 radios, which we gave out via partner organisations including; The Lewis Foundation, The Happy Hood, [email protected], Northampton Town Foundation Community Trust, The McCarthy Dixon Foundation and the Bridge Programme.
The Radio Hub provided the initial inspiration for our Radios for Northampton project, when they provided us with over 10 radios to give out in our community.
