Hundreds ride out for Cynthia Spencer Hospice
Written by Steve Scoles on September 24, 2019
Hundreds of cyclists saddled up on Sunday to raise money for Cynthia Spencer Hospice at the Cycle4Cynthia.
It is the main annual fund-raising event for Cynthia Spencer Hospice and currently alternates between starting venues at Althorp House and, this year, Holdenby House.
Saints star James Grayson saw the riders off after the planned starter, Piers Francis, was called up to the England Squad.
A new aspect to the fund-raising at this event was the Bike 4 Bedtime campaign in which teams of riders were invited to commit to raising the £504 it costs to provide a day of specialist care at Cynthia Spencer Hospice.
Sponsorship money can be dropped in at Cynthia Spencer Hospice’s Manfield Campus on Northampton’s Kettering Road or post a cheque made payable to ‘Cycle4Cynthia’ to Cynthia Spencer Hospice, Pondwood House, Pondwood Close, Northampton NN3 6RT.
Photos from the event are on the ride’s Facebook page and on the gallery page of its website – www.cycle4cynthia.co.uk
Meanwhile, to pledge your sponsorship or involvement in next year’s ride, please contact the Hospice on 01604 210941 or email [email protected]
