N Live station manager Martin Steers continued his series of interviews with senior members of the University of Northampton yesterday, speaking to Dr Mark Cusiter acting Dean of the Faculty of Business & Law about changes to teaching for both students and faculty and the good opportunity for business students to learn about adapting to real-world changes during unprecedented times.
Dr Mark Cusiter told N Live that the immediate reaction of faculty of business and law to help the business community of Northamptonshire had been quite limited with the focus being on medical and public health with other sectors of the university being very active in supporting the NHS and healthcare industries, but now there is the opportunity for them to support the community, “what we’re seeing now is opportunities for the faculty of business and law to start to make contributions to our local bossiness communities… Our role is going to start to build up over the coming weeks, as organisations start to think much more explicitly about business recovery”.
Dr Mark Cusiter also thanked the entire faculty of business and law for their work, “I don’t really want to highlight individuals because I think across the faculty everybody has done a fantastic job… Everybody I spoke to in the early stages was absolutely on board with the need to change quite rapidly over those immediate days, and everybody without exception responded really positively”.
