John Sinclair Dean Faculty Arts, Science and Technology – Response to COVID 19
Written by Martin Steers on April 30, 2020
This week NLive Radio’s Manager Martin Steers spoke to John Sinclair the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology (FAST) at the University of Northampton about how the students of the Faculty have responded to the shutdown and Coronavirus.
John expressed how impressed he’s been with how well the students have responded in the changes to learning, teaching and assessment and praised them and their lecturers and subject leaders for all the work they have done in changing the education to an online environment and supporting the students.
Included in this innovation is how the 2nd year Acting students are putting together a performance of William Shakespeare remotely using different video techniques and platforms, and edited this trailer to promote the performance.
Also the faculty has supported the testing efforts by loaning out laboratory equipment, as well as students and staff volunteering locally for different projects.
This includes some students from the Faculty who are involved with NLive Radio, from presenting to producing our daily news bulletins.
