Local Charity Awarded Massive Lottery Grant

Northamptonshire ACRE, an independent charity working with rural communities across the county, has been awarded over £272,000 in National Lottery funding to support its work. The charity, based at the Hunsbury Hill Centre in Northampton, will use the cash to support the development of 30 Good Neighbour schemes in rural communities, to empower local people and ensure they are not isolated.

The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund will enable Northamptonshire ACRE to employ two Good Neighbour Fieldworkers to assist 30 rural communities across Corby, Wellingborough, Kettering and East Northamptonshire in setting up Good Neighbour schemes over the next 3 years.
