NLive Celebrates National Volunteers Week 2020
Written by Chris Harris on June 1, 2020
National Volunteer Week takes place this week (1st-7th June) and is all about celebrating those in our community who give their time to help good causes.
Particularly during the COVID-19 Outbreak, volunteers are the backbone of so many great projects and services being offered up. Whether that’s ongoing charity work for organisations such as The Lowdown or Age UK, or newfound small projects such as Food4Heroes, they have proved invaluable in these trying times.
To show our appreciation for the volunteers in our community, Volunteer Impact Northants just one organisation that are championing the #CHEERSFORVOLUNTEERS hashtag across the country.
If you want to share your thanks for volunteers, join the country at 8pm on Monday 1st June to #CHEERSFORVOLUNTEERS and spread the thanks for those outstanding individuals who support all our organisations.
We at NLive Radio rely solely on our group of amazing volunteers who give their time to provide entertaining and informative programming for the Northampton community. The lockdown situation has presented us with many challenges, but our volunteers have given up even more of their time to learn new broadcasting techniques from home and cover for those who have been unable to continue broadcasting, and we would like to give a massive thanks for our own volunteers, as well as all the others in our community.
Unfortunately, due to lockdown, we are not currently on the look-out for new presenters, but do keep an eye out in the future for any other roles we may be recruiting for!
