Northampton News Review debuts this Saturday

Written by on June 29, 2017

The first Northampton News Review is going out this Saturday, and we have three panelists from around Northamptonshire joining presenter Nik Stevenson to talk about the week’s local and national events.

This week, we’ll be discussing renovations to the Northampton town centre, the rise of a certain Labour politician, and the special journey of a man and his ferret.

But first, a bit about our host

“Nik is a curate for St Mary the Virgin, Far Cotton.  He broadcasts for an online community of followers of Jesus. He is passionate about community and has a heart for working in areas that are often neglected by other churches, government organisations and charities.”

On the panel this week, we have journalist, Hilary Scott.

“A professional journalist for newspapers and magazines for 19 years, Hilary can be commissioned as a writer, sub-editor, designer, copywriter and PR consultant. She can organise training sessions in media liaison and public relations.

She also works as Senior Lecturer in Journalism at the University of Northampton.”

Hilary is joined by fellow journalist, Lisa Eversden.

“Always happy to talk about politics, Lisa did the paper review for BBC Coventry for the past few years and her Thought of the Day segment with Justine Green.”

The final panel member is local comedian and business owner, Peter Thomas.

“Stand-Up Comedian and owner of Grin City, Peter is never afraid to dive into politics and current affairs for either his comedy or his social media debates.”

So, don’t forget to tune in this Saturday, 7-8PM on NNBC, 106.9 and online. It’s bound to be an interesting one…

Stay well in Shoetown!
