Northants Police Keen on Stamping Out Hate Crimes
Written by NLive News Team on April 20, 2020
Northamptonshire police have asked all to share the #NoPlaceForHate in an attempt to raise awareness of hate crime in Northampton. On their official Facebook page, the Northamptonshire police released a statement “We’re committed to tackling hate crimes and incidents – you shouldn’t suffer because of other people’s hatred.
Crimes committed against someone because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender identity are hate crimes”.
Hate crimes come in three forms; physical assault, verbal abuse and incitement to hatred. This is when someone acts in a way that is threatening to incite hatred.
If you’ve been a victim to a hate crime, or witnessed one, please report it to the Northamptonshire police website here.
