Pride Comes to Northampton This Weekend

Written by on May 14, 2019

Northampton Borough Council’s LGBTQ Forum is bringing their second ever Pride celebration to the Market Square this Saturday, 18th of May.

Working in partnership with a whole host of local organisations, such as youth group Q-Space, mental and sexual health charity The Lowdown, and the Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, this Pride event will help to offer support and advice for LGBTQ+ people in our community.

Outside of featuring these support networks, there is plenty of entertainment from local bands, singers and dancer troupes, as well numerous food stalls. These will include the market’s resident vendors Funky’s Noodle bar, Continental Café and the Good Food Emporium, as well as local producer the Biscuiterie who will be offering crepes, waffles and macaroons.

So, get on down and join Northampton’s LGBTQ Forum at the event between 12pm and 5pm, to have a look at the LGBTQ community, businesses and support organisations. And remember: this event is for everyone. LGBTQ or not, you’re bound to have fun, and maybe learn something along the way!
