Station Manager Takes On Hope Centre Challenge

Written by on January 28, 2020

Station Manager Martin Steers is taking part in the Hope Centre’s “Big Sleep-Out” this Friday the 31st of January.

The Big Sleep-Out is The Hope Centre’s annual challenge to help raise money and awareness for their work with the homeless population of Northampton. It challenges you to sleep outside for 12 hours on 1 night with nothing but a sleeping bag and any boxes you bring with you.

The Big Sleep-Out takes place at Franklin’s Gardens on the 31st January from 7:30PM until 7:30AM the next day. You can still sign up here.

On taking on the challenge, Martin says “The Hope Centre is a great charity that really works hard in Northampton. I’m going to attempt to sleep out one night to raise money so they can support the many many people of Northampton who have no choice but to do that every night!”

If you want to support Martin, you can find his JustGiving page here.

Colin on Breakfast spoke to Hope Centre Fundraising and Marketing Manager Louise Danielczuk about what the Hope Centre do as well as the Big Sleep-Out.
