Students perform at Roadmender to round off year

Written by on June 8, 2018

Music students got to perform on a stage that has hosted many pop and rock legends over the years – The Roadmender.

Northampton College’s end of year music show saw all three rooms at the venue in use for the Cool for Summer show this week.

Bands played a mix of covers and their own material and technical students also got a chance to test their skills providing the engineering back up.

Level Three Course Leader Guy Fletcher said: “For many of them it is the first time they have plugged into a big PA rather than in a little rehearsal room. It has an impact on the music and what they do. We reflect on that and it is a measure for them, what it’s like. They come a long way in three terms.”

Samantha of Merakai said: “I’m sad it’s over. It’s a really nice opportunity to play on a really nice stage.”
