Are you losing the will to zoom?
The Core at Corby Cube launches new campaign, Core Calls, to stay connected with audiences during the lockdown.
The team at the Core are going analogue and they are encouraging people to briefly turn off their computers and instead pick up the phone for a chat with a friendly voice in Director Joe Flavin. Callers can chat about the day, their favourite shows they might have seen at the Core or might like to see in the future or indeed how they are feeling under lockdown.
Joe Flavin, the Core Director commented ‘Whilst acknowledging that there is a lot of positivity in relation to online activity and its ability to keep people in touch and connected, we feel that its important too to have a means of communication that isn’t necessarily reliant on computers and broadband. We think this is a great way to continue communication with anyone who is starting to feel jaded by technology or indeed who hasn’t got access to it but still wants to connect.
You don’t have to be in a vulnerable position to call this number, it’s a way to have a chat, pass the time, talk to someone about creative things, hopes and indeed fears if that is where you are at, but it isn’t a frontline service as provided by the council, it’s a service for those in the middle and should feel completely accessible and fun to call.’
If you would like to connect just dial this number 01536 470479. Callers should be 18 or over. Calls are strictly private and confidential. Lines open 12noon to 6pm Monday to Friday. If you need to save phone credit, we can call you back once you put the initial call through. If lines are engaged please try again later.
