Tributes to Nathan Wiseman-Trowse

Written by on March 14, 2018

Friends and colleagues of NLive Radio presenter Nathan Wiseman-Trowse have been paying tribute to him after his sudden death at the end of last week.

Nathan created Avant Pop on a Friday night and produced the Shoetown Sounds gigs along with Rachel Schouten.

He was the Programme Leader for music at the University of Northampton and his passing at the age of 45 has sent a ripple of shock through the worlds of education and music in the town.

Station Manager Shelly Stevenson said:

“When Nathan joined NLive Radio as a presenter he brought a wealth of musical knowledge with him. He has done so much, from working in record shops to writing critically acclaimed books on music and his show Avant Pop quickly became a must-listen for serious fans of music.

“We are saddened by his passing because above all he was a lovely man. We are absolutely gutted. He will be missed so much.”

A tragic loss to us all. Nathan was my Confidant, Friend, and Lecturer. I looked up to him and one-day aspire to be in a similar academic position as he was. Where ever you are on the other side mate I hope all our love finds you. You are greatly missed. All the best, Jake
